Maja Triler

Artistic Journey

The Slovenian soprano Maja Triler impresses with her versatility and stage presence. She began her artistic career at the Gymnasium for Drama and Acting as well as at the Conservatory for Ballet and Music in Ljubljana. She then continued her vocal training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where she is currently pursuing her master’s degree with Prof. KS Daniela Fally.

Already during her studies she performed numerous opera roles, including Papagena in The Magic Flute, Despina in Così fan tutte, Frau Fluth in The Merry Wives of Windsor, and Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi at the Schönbrunn Palace Theater.

For her artistic achievements she has received multiple awards: in 2022 she won the Gold Prize at the TEMSIG Competition, Slovenia’s national music competition. In 2023 she received second prize at the Heinrich Strecker Competition in Baden near Vienna as well as at the Hans Staud Competition for young singers. In the current year 2025, she was awarded second prize at both the Operetta Competition of the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl and the Hedda Urbani Competition of the Friends of the Vienna State Opera. Also in 2025, she claimed first prize at the prestigious vocal competition “Zukunftsstimmen” organized by Elīna Garanča.

With great passion, Maja Triler also devotes herself to concert performance alongside her opera career and has been realizing her own concert series in her Slovenian homeland for several years—always with the aim of making music as a living art form accessible to a wide audience.
